Is Your PC Running Slow?
Why is your PC running slow?
I can give you three general categories to check...
• The amount of memory you have
• The Amount of spy-ware and viruses that have infected your PC
• How fragmented and error ridden your registry is
With your PC running slow, these three categories are where I would start looking for the cause. If you own a rather new PC, you can probably eliminate the memory as the cause of your PC running slow, unless you are a big gamer. If you have antivirus software you can check off viruses as the cause of your PC running slow; however, it could be the anti-virus software itself. If you noticed the PC running slow right after installing your anti-virus software, then check that.
The registry can make you notice your PC running slow.
pcmag.com defines the Registry as...
"The configuration database in all 32-bit versions of windows that contains settings for the hardware and software in the PC it is installed in. The Registry is made up of the SYSTEM.DAT and USER.DAT files. Many settings previously stored in the WIN.INI and SYSTEM.INI files in 16-bit Windows (Windows 3.x) are in the Registry."
If the registry gets corrupted during installs and uninstalls it can be the reason you notice your PC running slow. It can also cause your computer to crash, and make your system unstable.
When you see your PC running slow, check your registry.
I wouldn't try to check your registry manually because unless you know what you are doing you can easily, permanently disable your PC. Instead, when you notice your PC running slow, scan your registry. This can usually be done free and then, if it is warranted, I would buy quality registry software rather then using free utilities. When I noticed my PC running slow, I ran the best free registry cleaner and it found 119 errors. I then scanned the registry with a top notch paid program and it found 1, 488 errors. With my PC running slow, I ran the software. The difference was amazing. No longer was my PC running slow but instead it was like new.
If you see your PC running slow scan your PC’s registry now!
